This site is less a digital garden, more a windowsill with a few plants — field notes, prototypes, and slightly longer reflections, kept alive mostly for my own benefit and shared with whoever passes by.

Why “Third Eye Files”? I’m not entirely sure. Something about wanting to see through the noise — past the big trends and the daily churn — towards what lingers. A third eye that isn’t purely optical but also tactful, tuned to something closer to intuition, wonder. The kind of seeing I believe media makers and scholars should cultivate when driven by curiosity, to see deeper into the branches and further through forests of knowledge where humanity reveals itself as a symbiotic non-sequitor, an interwoven tangle of actions, thoughts, and mysteries.

I’m Pablo Núñez, an artistic researcher and PhD candidate at the University of Amsterdam. My work and interests sit somewhere between cultural archives, moving image, digital interfaces, and the big ideas that mobilise cultural production and technology. Day to day, I work with the question of how cultural heritage — particularly from independent and vernacular collections — can be presented not as something fixed, but as something alive and open to reinterpretation: a continuous dialogue between documents from the past and the urgent concerns of the present.

Have a look around, and if something stays with you, pass it on.
